Good weather

Last Sunday we went up to see the Provo City Center temple under construction for family home evening.  It is really amazing to see all of the work going on.

The weather has been so incredibly beautiful lately.  We have had a few days in the 70s and the kids just could not wait any longer so one afternoon we got out the sprinkler, suits and sunscreen.  They had a lot of fun.  Leah sat nearby in the stoller, dry and warm. :)  They came to me and told me they were gettting chilly so I told them to shake their bums to get warm.

And Kaitlyn and Julia are always playing dress up.  They go from this....

 (planting tulips)  to this....
on a 70 degree day.  That's a horse that Julia has on.

And every year at this time down at the Hari Krishan temple there is a HUGE festival of colors.  It attracts more and more people every year.  Usually annoying high school students and college freshman who think it's the coolest thing in the whole wide world.  But to people who live within 5 miles of the temple (us) it is a total inconvience.  Especially when you have to return library books that day or pick up a replacement turkey breast for easter dinner that the damn cat slipped in and ate last night.  People literally walk for miles and wait in traffic for an hour or more to go and throw colored chalk at eachother.

I counted seven of these shuttles that are packed full of people taking them to and from the festivites.

The only good part was that we were able to get a shake on the way home for the kids and Leah ended up eating it with her hands.
Way to be postive, right?  I just hate cats.

Kids & Bees

This was a fun little activity to do with the kids on a cold and blustery March afternoon.  It made us think of Spring :)
And just the week before, we broke a record with 72 degree temps.  Kate and Julia love to play dress up and make meals out of the strangest things :) I found them outside making dinner together on our warmest afternoon yet.

Kaitlyn later put walnuts on top of this and served spaghetti with meatballs.
And Julia made cake :)

Jack stayed inside and dyed some eggs.

And when the girls are laying out outfits after outfits to try on and take pictures in, Jack likes to hang out in the kitchen with me and construct machines out of legos.  After this picture, he made a contraption he called the "education donut".  :)  Love that boy.

And here are the kiddos making their pizzas for movie night.

Friday & Saturday fun

These pictures were taken with my phone so the quality is poor but Grandma, we LOVE the Waring Pro.  We use it every Friday night.  The kids love to stand in front of it and watch the little kernels come alive.

That cheesy, salty, yumminess on the left is everyones favorite part.

We put together some bees and dinosaurs to deliver to visiting teachers on Saturday.  Everyone had fun putting them together but the kids ended up sneaking a few eyes and a few bees for the hive and a few spikes for the dinos back so we ended up with odd numbers of everything :)

Katy loves to deliver this kind of stuff.
And Julia preferred to do this...
ew.  Right to the trash.
